No more discs for xbox

The next upcoming Xbox will not use a disc dive. In stent they are going to use “some sort of interchangeable solid-state card storage.” To me this mean it’s going to be similar to a SD card or something along those lines.
What is the next Xbox?  Am not sure but, the last rumor was The Xbox successor. On top of that I know that the next Xbox is shipping in 2013.Also that the next Xbox is currently under development under the name of Durango.
With the no disc drive in mind, did this mean that the new Xbox is not going to have a DVD player? This also brings up the question “are CDs and DVDs becoming outdated?” If this “interchangeable solid-state card” thing becomes fames like the DVD or the CD did. Then this thing could be the new type of everyday media. This means no more DVD player or blue ray players or anything else along those lines. Maybe that’s what they were going for in the first place, that would make a lot of money.
Besides all that, I know that things like SD cards have a history of being easy to pirate. So I wonder what they are going to do fix this problem.
